- Kapitel 11 -

I will take refuge in the Lord

(Habakkuk 1:12-17)

Unto the end. A Psalm of David.(a)

I trust in the Lord. How can you say to my soul, “Sojourn to the mountain, like a sparrow.”

For behold, the sinners have bent their bow. They have prepared their arrows in the quiver, so as to shoot arrows in the dark at the upright of heart.

For they have destroyed the things that you have completed. But what has the just one done?

The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes look upon the poor. His eyelids question the sons of men.

The Lord questions the just and the impious. Yet he who loves iniquity, hates his own soul.

He will rain down snares upon sinners. Fire and brimstone and windstorms will be the portion of their cup.(b)

For the Lord is just, and he has chosen justice. His countenance has beheld equity.

Bei dem HERRN finde ich Zuflucht

(Habakuk 1,12-17)

Zum Ende, ein Psalm Davids.

Auf den Herrn vertraue ich; wie mögt ihr zu meiner Seele sagen: Fliehe wie ein Sperling auf das Gebirge?

Denn siehe, die Sünder spannen den Bogen, halten ihre Pfeile in dem Köcher bereit, um sie im Dunkeln abzuschießen auf die, welche aufrichtigen Herzens sind;

denn was du vollbracht hast, zerstören sie, was aber hat der Gerechte ausgerichtet?

Der Herr ist in seinem heiligen Tempel, der Herr hat im Himmel seinen Thron; seine Augen schauen auf den Armen, seine Wimpern durchforschen die Menschenkinder.

Der Herr durchforscht den Gerechten und den Gottlosen; wer aber Gewalttat liebt, hasst seine Seele.

Er lässt über die Gottlosen Schlingen regnen, Feuer und Schwefel und Sturmwind ist der Anteil ihres Bechers.

Denn der Herr ist gerecht und liebt Rechttun, sein Auge schaut auf die Rechtlichkeit.
