- Kapitel 22 -

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, that they be separated from the holy thinges of the children of Israel, and that they pollute not mine holy name in those things, which they hallowe vnto me: I am the Lord.

Say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of all your seede among your generations after you, that toucheth the holy things which the children of Israel hallowe vnto the Lord, hauing his vncleannesse vpon him, euen that person shall be cut off from my sight: I am the Lord.

Whosoeuer also of the seede of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue, he shall not eate of the holy things vntill he be cleane: and who so toucheth any that is vncleane, by reason of the dead, or a man whose issue of seede runneth from him,

Or the man that toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made vncleane, or a man, by whom he may take vncleannesse, whatsoeuer vncleannesse he hath,

The person that hath touched such, shall therefore be vncleane vntill the euen, and shall not eat of ye holy things, except he haue washed his flesh with water.

But when the Sunne is downe, hee shalbe cleane, and shall afterward eate of the holy things: for it is his foode.

Of a beast that dyeth, or is rent with beasts, whereby he may be defiled, hee shall not eate: I am the Lord.

Let them keepe therefore mine ordinance, least they beare their sinne for it, and die for it, if they defile it: I the Lord sanctifie them.

There shall no stranger also eate of the holie thing, neither the ghest of the Priest, neither shall an hired seruant eat of the holie thing:

But if the Priest bye any with money, he shall eate of it, also he that is borne in his house: they shall eate of his meate.

If the Priests daughter also be maried vnto a stranger, she may not eate of the holy offrings.

Notwithstanding if the Priests daughter be a widowe or diuorced, and haue no childe, but is returned vnto her fathers house shee shall eate of her fathers bread, as she did in her youth but there shall no stranger eate thereof.

If a man eate of the holie thing vnwittingly, he shall put the fift part thereunto, and giue it vnto the Priest with the halowed thing.

So they shall not defile the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer vnto the Lord,

Neither cause the people to beare the iniquitie of their trespas, while they eate their holy thing: for I the Lord do halowe them.

Worthy Offerings

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel, and say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his sacrifice for all their vowes, and for all their free offrings, which they vse to offer vnto the Lord for a burnt offring,

Yee shall offer of your free minde a male without blemish of the beeues, of the sheepe, or of the goates.

Ye shall not offer any thing that hath a blemish: for that shall not be acceptable for you.

And whosoeuer bringeth a peace offring vnto ye Lord to accomplish his vowe, or for a free offring, of the beeues, or of the sheepe, his free offring shall bee perfect, no blemish shalbe in it.

Blinde, or broken, or maimed, or hauing a wenne, or skiruie, or skabbed: these shall yee not offer vnto the Lord nor make an offring by fire of these vpon the altar of the Lord.

Yet a bullocke, or a sheepe that hath any member superfluous, or lacking, such mayest thou present for a free offring, but for a vowe it shall not be accepted.

Ye shall not offer vnto ye Lord that which is bruised or crusshed, or broken, or cut away, neither shall ye make an offring thereof in your land,

Neither of ye hand of a strager shall ye offer ye bread of your God of any of these, because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: therefore shall they not be accepted for you.

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

When a bullocke, or a sheepe, or a goate shall be brought foorth, it shalbe euen seuen daies vnder his damme: and from the eight day forth, it shalbe accepted for a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord.

As for the cowe or the ewe, yee shall not kill her, and her yong both in one day.

So when ye will offer a thanke offring vnto the Lord, ye shall offer willingly.

The same day it shalbe eaten, yee shall leaue none of it vntill the morowe: I am the Lord.

Therefore shall ye keepe my commandements and do them: for I am the Lord.

Neither shall ye pollute mine holy Name, but I will be halowed among the children of Israel. I the Lord sanctifie you,

Which haue brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.

Wiederum redete der Herr zu Moses und sprach:

Sage Aaron und seinen Söhnen, dass sie sich von dem enthalten sollen, was Weihgeschenk der Söhne Israels ist, und nicht den Namen der Dinge beflecken, die mir geheiligt sind und welche diese darbringen. Ich bin der Herr.

Sage ihnen und ihren Nachkommen: Jeder von eurem Stamme, der den geweihten Gaben naht, welche die Söhne Israels dem Herrn dargebracht haben, während ihm Unreinheit anhaftet, soll vor dem Herrn umkommen. Ich bin der Herr.

Wer von den Nachkommen Aarons aussätzig ist, oder an Samenfluß leidet, soll solange nicht von den mir geweihten Gaben essen, bis er geheilt ist. Wer einen Menschen berührt, der durch eine Leiche verunreinigt ist, und wem wie im Beischlafe der Same abgeht,

oder wer ein Gewürm oder sonst etwas Unreines, dessen Berührung verunreinigt, berührt,

soll unrein sein bis zum Abend und darf nicht von den geheiligten Gaben essen, wenn er seinen Leib nicht zuvor mit Wasser gewaschen hat;

wenn die Sonne untergegangen ist, mag er so gereinigt von den heiligen Gaben essen, denn sie sind seine Speise.

Gefallenes und von wilden Tieren Erjagtes sollen sie nicht essen und sich nicht damit verunreinigen. Ich bin der Herr.

Sie sollen meine Gebote halten, dass sie nicht Sünde auf sich laden und im Heiligtume sterben, wenn sie es beflecken. Ich bin der Herr, der sie heiligt.

Kein Fremder soll vom Geheiligten essen, der Hausgenosse und der Lohnarbeiter des Priesters sollen nicht davon essen;

aber der vom Priester gekaufte oder in seinem Hause geborene Knecht darf davon essen.

Wenn die Tochter eines Priesters sich an einen Mann aus dem Volke verheiratet hat, so soll sie von den geweihten Gaben und von den Erstlingen nicht essen.

Kehrt sie aber als Witwe, oder von ihrem Manne verstoßen kinderlos zum Hause ihres Vaters zurück, so darf sie von der Speise ihres Vaters essen, wie sie als Mädchen zu tun gewohnt war. Kein Fremder hat das Recht davon zu essen.

Wer aus Versehen Geheiligtes isst, soll den fünften Teil zu dem legen, was er gegessen, und es dem Priester geben in das Heiligtum.

Und sie sollen die Gaben der Söhne Israels, welche diese dem Herrn darbringen, nicht entweihen,

damit sie nicht etwa die Schuld ihres Vergehens auf sich laden, wenn sie das Geheiligte essen. Ich bin der Herr, der sie heiligt.

Angenommene und nicht angenommene Opfergaben

Und der Herr redete zu Moses und sprach:

Rede zu Aaron und seinen Söhnen und zu allen Söhnen Israels, und sage ihnen: Wenn jemand aus dem Hause Israel oder von den Fremden, welche bei euch wohnen, seine Opfergabe darbringt, sei es ein Gelübde zu erfüllen, oder aus freiem Willen, so soll alles, was er dem Herrn zum Brandopfer darbringt,

damit ihr es opfert, ein männliches fehlerfreies Tier sein, von den Rindern, den Schafen, oder den Ziegen.

Keines, das einen Fehler hat, sollt ihr opfern, und ein solches wird nicht wohlgefällig sein.

Wenn jemand dem Herr nein Friedopfer darbringt, sei es um ein Gelübde zu erfüllen, sei es aus freiem Willen, so muss es von fehlerfreien Rindern oder Schafen sein, damit es wohlgefällig sei; es darf keinen Makel an sich haben.

Was blind ist, oder ein gebrochenes Glied, oder eine Wundnarbe, oder Blattern hat, was mit Geschwüren oder Krätze behaftet ist, sollt ihr dem Herrn nicht opfern, noch etwas davon auf dem Altare des Herrn verbrennen.

Ein Rind oder ein Schaf, dem ein Ohr oder der Schwanz abgeschnitten ist, darfst du freiwillig opfern, aber ein Gelübde kann damit nicht erfüllt werden.

Kein Tier, dem die Hoden zerdrückt, oder zerquetscht, oder ausgeschnitten, oder ausgenommen sind, sollt ihr dem Herrn opfern; und sollt in eurem Lande solches durchaus nicht tun.

Aus der Hand eines Fremdlings sollt ihr eurem Gott keine Brote, oder was er sonst geben will, darbringen, denn verderbt und befleckt ist alles; solches sollt ihr nicht annehmen.

Und der Herr redete zu Moses und sprach:

Wenn ein Rind, oder ein Schaf, oder eine Ziege geboren ist, sollen sie sieben Tage unter dem Euter ihrer Mutter bleiben; vom achten Tage aber an und fürderhin können sie dem Herrn geopfert werden.

Weder Rind, noch Schaf sollt ihr mit seinen Jungen an einem Tage schlachten.

Wenn ihr dem Herrn ein Dankopfer schlachtet, so sollt ihr es, damit es euch wohlgefällig machen könne,

an demselben Tage essen, und es soll nichts bis zum Morgen des andern Tages übrigbleiben. Ich bin der Herr.

Haltet meine Gebote und tuet sie. Ich bin der Herr.

Beflecket meinen heiligen Namen nicht, damit ich heilig gehalten werde inmitten der Söhne Israels. Ich bin der Herr, der euch heiligt

und euch aus dem Lande Ägypten geführt hat, um euer Gott zu sein. Ich bin der Herr.
